Cross Country season officially gets underway on Monday, July 17!

   The team aims to build on a successful 2022 season during which all Storm athletes either won, medaled, or set personal best times in every race. Our greatest achievement, however, is exceptional team camaraderie and the joy of working out together using God-given talents that glorify him!

​   Cross country is a tough and demanding sport, requiring not only endurance but heat tolerance. Accordingly, pre-season training is a must to prepare the athlete for both and to minimize overuse injuries. All athletes should be running on their own by June 1.  Refer to the attached running plan for preseason training guidance.

​

   Pre-season group runs and conditioning workouts will be Tuesday and Friday mornings, 6:30-8:00 a.m., at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond beginning June 6. These workouts are not mandatory but are a great way to get to know your teammates while getting a great workout in!
